The Product Studio Behind Pacific Northwest Technology - PNWTech Labs
PNWTech Labs is where cloud marketplace, SaaS monetization, and cybersecurity experience gets applied to AI-native software — designed and stress-tested against real operating problems, from a local-first AI assistant to industry-specific platforms for boat ownership and craft distilling.

What PNWTech Labs Is
PNWTech Labs is the product studio inside PNWTech, operated by a technology leader with a working background in cloud marketplace strategy, SaaS monetization, subscription commerce, cybersecurity, and applied AI strategy. Where PNWTech's advisory practice helps executives and teams think clearly about AI-assisted engineering, the Lab is where that same discipline gets applied directly: real software, built and tested against real operating problems, before any of it becomes a pitch.
Nothing here ships as a finished product on day one. It ships as a working prototype, gets used, gets revised, and either earns a permanent place in the lineup or gets retired. That's deliberate: we'd rather show you what's actually running than describe what we plan to build.
What We're Building
Every project in the Lab starts the same way: a real operational problem, not a technology looking for a use case. Right now that spans a local-first AI assistant for individuals and small teams, an operations platform for boat owners, an engineering reference toolbox for craft distillers, and advisory frameworks for executives and teams navigating AI-assisted work.
The common thread isn't the industry — it's the standard: software has to earn trust before it earns adoption. That means visible reasoning, explicit approval for anything consequential, and a permanent record of what happened and why.
Featured Projects
Five projects. Different industries. The same standard: real operating problems, not feature lists.

Built With
We build using established, professional-grade tooling — chosen for reliability and flexibility, not novelty:
VS Code · Claude Code · React · TypeScript · PostgreSQL · Supabase · Vercel · GitHub · Tauri (for desktop applications) · MCP (Model Context Protocol), where it fits
No part of this stack locks a project — or you — into a single vendor. That's intentional: platforms and providers change; the architecture underneath shouldn't have to.
Lab Notes
Short, occasional notes on what we're building and why — written as we build it, not after the fact.
July 8, 2026 — We're building the operating foundation first, not chasing demos. Before Rommie can summarize a file or draft an email, it needs a permission model, an audit trail, and a way to ask before it acts.
July 18, 2026 — Captain's Console 360 didn't start as a market opportunity — it started as a real problem: maintenance history in one notebook, fuel receipts in a shoebox, trip plans in a group text.
July 31, 2026 — The goal is not AI theater. The goal is useful software. That's the filter every project in the Lab has to pass before it gets a name, a status, or a place on this page.

Work With PNWTech
PNWTech Labs' advisory work draws on direct experience leading cloud marketplace strategy, SaaS monetization, subscription commerce, and cybersecurity programs — now applied to AI strategy and AI-assisted engineering. If you're an executive or founder who needs to get this right the first time, this is where that conversation starts.

Coming Soon
A look at what's queued up next in the Lab. We'd rather under-promise here than publish a roadmap we quietly miss.
Rommie voice interaction — push-to-talk voice input alongside the current text interface.
Rommie file and calendar assistance — reading and summarizing local files and calendar events, with every access logged and visible to you.
Captain's Console 360 early prototype — first look at maintenance tracking and digital logs for a small group of boat owners.
The Proofing Room calculator suite — the first set of proofing and dilution calculators, open for early feedback from licensed distillers.
AI Orchestration for Domain Experts™ course outline — the first public outline of the advisory framework.
